Even our more traditional styles can be customized to fit each client’s individual style, needs, and preferences. Every piece is made by master jeweler Bryan Kanan, allowing you to work directly with the person designing and crafting your jewelry. Rather than relying on salespeople to push pre-made jewelry, we take the time to understand what you’re looking for and create or customize a piece around your unique interests and lifestyle. When you visit Kanan Design, you’ll find more than a traditional jewelry store. Our studio is a unique combination of finished fine jewelry, sculpture, artwork, and a fully operational working jewelry studio equipped to design, fabricate, repair, and finish jewelry on-site from start to finish. Master jeweler Bryan Kanan has hands-on experience across every stage of jewelry making, allowing him to personally handle everything from repairs and stone setting to custom design and fabrication. Rather than relying on outside jewelers, manufacturers, or designers, Bryan keeps the work in-house, giving him direct control over every detail and allowing him to address challenges as they arise while maintaining a high level of quality control.

As a one-person studio, Bryan has developed a streamlined and efficient workflow that allows him to focus his time and craftsmanship on each individual project. Because the work stays in-house, there is no waiting for jewelry to be shipped to outside manufacturers or passed between different designers and craftspeople. From the initial concept to the finished piece, Bryan personally does the jewelry making process, creating a more direct, efficient, and accountable experience for every client. Bryan takes the time to meet with each client personally, asking questions and listening carefully to understand their goals, preferences, lifestyle, and vision for the piece. Throughout the custom design process, clients have multiple opportunities to review the design, provide feedback, and make adjustments before the piece is completed. This collaborative approach ensures that the final jewelry reflects the client’s ideas while benefiting from Bryan’s knowledge and experience as a master jeweler.

Kanan Design combines traditional jewelry craftsmanship with modern technology and professional jewelry-making equipment, allowing master jeweler Bryan Kanan to handle every stage of the process in-house.

Power Engravers – Used for precision stone setting, detailed engraving, and intricate finishing work.
TIG Welding Equipment – Allows Bryan to perform delicate jewelry repairs and precise fabrication work that requires controlled, accurate welding.
Traditional Jewelry Benches – Fully equipped workbenches provide the foundation for hands-on jewelry repair, fabrication, finishing, and custom jewelry work.
On-Site 3D Printing – Designs can be printed in-house so clients can physically review the size, proportions, and overall form of a custom piece before it is made.
Advanced 3D CAD Modeling – Bryan creates each custom design from scratch using professional 3D modeling software. Rather than selecting from pre-made or catalog-based designs, he builds the jewelry specifically around each client's ideas, specifications, gemstones, and requirements.
In-House Casting Equipment – Having casting capabilities in the studio gives Bryan greater control over the manufacturing process and allows custom designs to move efficiently from the digital or physical model into a finished piece.

By combining traditional bench craftsmanship, hand techniques, precision equipment, CAD and 3D modeling, 3D printing, and casting capabilities, Kanan Design is able to keep the custom jewelry process under one roof. This allows Bryan to maintain direct control over the design and construction of each piece while giving clients the opportunity to see and participate in the process along the way.
